Monk and Neagle Tomorrow!

Ξ September 17th, 2007 | → 1 Comments | ∇ Things You Really Need |

You may remember that I won a Monk and Neagle cd back in July.

And it is amazing.

And you can buy it tomorrow.

Just in case you’ve somehow missed hearing them, you can still hear a preview here.

Beautiful You is still my favorite song, although What Soldiers Do runs a pretty close second. And makes me think of my husband and get all teary.

Who has yet to hear Monk and Neagle, now that I think about it.

I’m supposed to mail him his guitar (ok, maybe I was supposed to have mailed it like two months ago, but c’mon! It’s a really big box and he’s not here to watch the kids while I go and mail really big boxes!) so maybe I should include my copy for him.

Don’t forget!

Introducing the coffee shop

Ξ July 12th, 2007 | → 3 Comments | ∇ Things You Really Need |

So you may (or may not) have noticed the nifty little (ORANGE) box in my sidebar for TheFind.com.

(But really, it’s orange, and the rest of my blog is not. How could you miss it?)

It’s this really cool shopping search engine that is geared towards women. When I need to buy something, I usually head straight to Amazon, or if I’m feeling frugal, then I’ll go to, well, froogle.

But this site is SO. MUCH. BETTER.

It definitely has a much easier results page to use and finds the best prices.

Remember that mascara I told you about a couple months ago? I totally found it for less than the link I gave you when I used TheFind. (And come on, it’s expensive mascara! I’m all about saving $4.) And you can click this handy little (orange) button to find it easily. Find it at thefind.com

I don’t have to promote any products or anything, these are just (ORANGE) tools to make your shopping life much easier if you find you’re interested in something that I like.

And ok, I’ll make a small profit when you buy something through my blog (you could just do all your Christmas shopping through me, if you wanted!), but by using the coffee shop, you’ll be supporting me.

And by supporting me, you’re supporting my husband in the Navy.

You’re practically supporting America and the fight for freedom.

(Ok, maybe that was taking it too far.)

Check it out!

(Did I mention that it’s orange?)

No more racoon eyes…

Ξ May 17th, 2007 | → 2 Comments | ∇ Just Fun Stuff, Things You Really Need |

So I guess I didn’t include a link to the best mascara ever, so here is some more info. It is by Blinc and I bought it at Sephora.

It took some getting used to because it doesn’t paint your lashes, it tubes them. After about two minutes it hardens (feels just like regular mascara on) and if you rub your eyes it won’t rub off. To remove it, you just have to get your lashes really wet (tearing up won’t do it, but sobbing probably would) and the tubes just slide right off. It’s pretty freaky the first time, it looks like your lashes are falling out!

But I’m telling you, the freedom from racoon eyes?

It will change your life.

Or at least make those hot, sweaty days a little prettier.

Find it at thefind.com
