I’ve been trying to catch up on responding to your comments and visiting your blogs lately, but it’s slow going. I will be around to say hi to everyone, but I thought this might be fun-

*I’ve checked and quadruple checked (actually more than quadruple checked, but I can’t think what the proper word for that is right now) the code and I know I have it right, yet I still can’t get it to work so that you can just cut and paste the graphics! But you can click them and it will take you to flickr where you can click on the “All Sizes” button and then download the size you like and use it.
Now I’m excited! And I used up all my blogging time making those buttons and searching for the html to make those scroll bars (which are no longer there because the stinkin’ html isn’t working right). Start looking for your best post to link to!
And you have four brilliant (to you) posts in your head and your husband says he is going to work until at least 1 or 2am and you settle in for an evening of blogging that will give you a week’s worth of posts and allow you to respond to all the comments you’ve recently received and you open up your beloved MacBook Pro and THE INTERNET IS OUT and it doesn’t come back for TWO FULL DAYS and by then your hands are shaking and there are black spots in front of your eyes and YOU ARE EXPERIENCING MAJOR BLOGGY WITHDRAWALS and the bottling up of ALL THE INSPIRATION causes you to forget your brilliant inspiredness and you end up yelling at your beloved readers.
And then you feel better and you have some decaf.
With the busy-ness we’ve been facing lately getting in the way of blogging, I’ve been considering whether I need to make some changes here at the ol’ cafe.
I’m just not sure what those changes would be.
I read all the time about how a blog has to have a focus. Mine is somewhat unfocused unless I consider that I, and any random thought I might have, am the focus.
As vain as that is, I’m fine with it.
Do you have a focus? What about the blogs you enjoy?
I’ve also read about posting schedules. Posting the same topic the same day each week.
That one may actually help. Until now my posting schedule has been something like this:
1. When I am inspired
2. When I have really good pictures
3. When I have time
Do you follow a schedule? Do your favorite blogs?
What other blogging guidelines have you heard about or use?
Hmm, so I guess I sort of dropped off the face of the, er, blogosphere, didn’t I?
Sorry ’bout that.
I have no reason except that every time I blink a huge mess has been made and a child is asking me to come look at how high he can put his dirty toes on the wall or freaking out about the lovebugs outside or getting into the cupboards and walking around with four different toothbrushes in her mouth or a baby is dragging half a pack of diapers through the house saying “poo-poo poo-poo” and leaving a Hansel-and-Gretel-like trail of diapers back to her room.
It’s not like I even have blogger’s block or anything, so here is what you have to look forward to as soon as I get a chance to just sit and write for a while!

-Pictures from our recent experiment on what happens when you build your house on sand and rock (title: Mommy, is that story real?)
-The background on how we came to be a homeschooling family (title: Even so, I still think he’s crazy)

-Finally finishing off the questions from my Q&A (and I promise none of them will be 20 parts!)
-Another made-up meme (a version of 6 things, I think, but I have to go back and see what I’ve been tagged for)

Usually I get freaky excited to give stuff away, but this time? Not so much.
I am uninspired. I’ve done the Lush and Starbucks giveaways too many times.
I’m actually thinking of just skipping this giveaway completely.
