The problem with hurricane proofing

Ξ September 7th, 2008 | → 6 Comments | ∇ Everyday Stuff |

Is that it blocks all the light from the windows so that when your three-year-old comes into your room and wakes you up, it’s so dark that you tell him to go back to bed because you’re sure that you have at least three more hours of sleeping time but he bugs you and bugs so you look at the clock to prove that it’s way too early and you have at least three more hours of sleeping time and you see that it’s actually 8am and you’re sooo disappointed that you don’t have three more hours of sleeping time.

We’re home with no damage at all.  Just some ants in the house.  Thanks for all the prayers!  Now pray that Ike misses us.

Seriously girl- you need to hightail it back out to CA. We may get an occasional quake or two, but those hurricanes are crazy!
