As a working mom, I can tell you that school doesn't give me any free time. It just adds homework to our already busy evenings. Three hours a day sounds quite lovely to me.

No interruptions?! Is that even possible? It's like a fairy tale to me.

I am with ya in this one. Some people still think I don't do anything all day because I homeschool. I tell them...my laundry still needs washing, groceries still need to be bought and house cleaned plus school 3 kids and manage an online business. Still I do nothing because I am home ALL DAY. I don't get it! Sorry to rant...bad day!

Oh I am with you sister!!!! I work in the school system as a speech pathologist when my children are in school, so when they go back I go back!
It makes me crazy when Mom's try to tell me that it is "not much free time, because of dropping off and picking up." I LOOK AT THEM WITH A BLANK STARE!

Good to hear someone else is "feeling" the unfairness... I gripe inside my head, but then see their little faces and KNOW no one else will take such great interest in them all day long (of course no one else will be praying to have patience and kindness all day long as much as me either!).
I think Chloe and Josiah are similar in being highly verbal... he has sooo many questions all day long. So many things he his figuring out verbally each day and filing away. I know as a former teacher that a classroom teacher CANNOT devote the time to help him figure out his ponderings. She/he has responsibility for many other students too.

You're doing the good! Being different than most others is okay (I keep having to tell myself this :)
love you!
