How about a roll call?

I must admit I am totally, unapologetically stealing this idea from Megan.
But The Big Bloggy Move is coming up on Monday and I think I will be offering two, TWO prizes and I need some ideas.
Plus, my readers seem to have doubled since about November, and I’d like to get to know you all. My husband has been working 14-18 hour days and I’m a tad bit little completely starved for adult interaction.
So please, leave a comment telling me if you have children and how many, and what your favorite indulgence is.
And I don’t mean indulgence like reading blogs at midnight, like I am doing right now. I’m talking Starbucks, Godiva, Lush bath products…something for which I can buy a gift card and give a little back to you, who provide me with some much needed sanity.
And if you haven’t commented here before, I give you my blessing to de-lurk for this one post and then go right back to lurkville.
Because chances are I lurk on your blog, too.

Hi Christy,
I’ve got 2 children. Jeremiah (he is his name) is 11 and Rebekah is 8. My favorite indulgences are coffee or shopping(which I don’t do that much, just clearance racks!) I’ve enjoyed your blog so much, especially your testimony.

I have two small girls. My fave indulgence would be reading and coffee.
on February 6th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
Hi Christy,
you know me…at least you have commented on my site
I have 3 kids. 5,3 and 9 months.
We are former military, now my hubby is provincial police here in Canada.
My favorite indulgence is lindt chocolate…the red balls. yum yum yummy.
That and starbucks. Man that stuff is expensive, but gives us tired moms a good kick.
I also love creamy yummy body lotions. I hear Bath and Body works in the States is to die for.
Anyway, I read your site everyday.

Oh, nice twist on the indulgence idea! Who doesn’t like to talk about that?!
As you know, I have two little laides – newly three and five months. My fave indulgences include anything coffee related, book related, or natural living related.
on February 6th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
Hi Christy!
I have a sweet daughter, Sydney, who is now in heaven. My indulgences include Dove Chocolate, Fazoli’s breadsticks, Chili’s Chips and Queso, Hot chocolate (I love the smell of coffee, but have a hard time with the after-taste), Chi Mochas… sorry, I get excited when I start talking about these kind of things. I could go on and on!
on February 6th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
Hey Christy – it’s Jen and Nate here over at Things You Didn’t do. Can you believe Nate is almost 5 months! Eek! Time flies when you’re parenting an infant!
Althought I’d love to say reading…I don’t have lot of time for that these days, and as I’m trying to limit the coffee (don’t worry, it’s not going very well! LOL) I’m going to have to go with something LUSH – I could probably squeeze in a hot bath with a Scrapbooking mag at some point into my day!
on February 6th, 2008 at 2:34 pm
Hi Christy,
I have 1 kid. He just turned 1 last week. I just recently found your blog. Hmmm…it is hard to narrow it down to a favorite indulgence since I have several. Cafe Mochas from Starbucks, spa pedicures, Breadsticks and salad at Olive Garden, most anything from Bath and Bodyworks, the list can go on but I’ll stop here.
on February 6th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
No kids for me yet. We have been trying for a long time. My two favorite indulgences are pampering products from Bath and Body Works and books from Barnes and Noble.
on February 6th, 2008 at 3:45 pm
Three kids, aged 11, 5, and 3 and I would have to say my FAVORITE indulgence at the moment (since I homeschool) is time for myself. BUT…since you can’t buy time, it would probably be a book from Amazon.
on February 6th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
Hi Christy-
Three kids- Teenage Son (15 1/2), Teenage Daughter (13 1/2), and Young Son (10 1/2) you know those 1/2 years are important!
My favorite indulgance is definitely peace and quiet which I don’t get enough of! I also love lattes from Peets, Chai from Starbucks, a good book from B&N, and I LOVE good quality scented candles… Oh and I love iTunes- if I’m having a stressful day I’ll download a new song and crank it up while I’m cleaning house, driving, etc…
on February 6th, 2008 at 5:06 pm
I’m Tanya, new to your neighborhood. But I love it! I have 4 kidlets, Ashlyn 13, Christian 10 and twins Braden and Dalton who just turned 6 on the 2nd. Hmmm, favorite indulgence, internet shopping!
on February 6th, 2008 at 5:24 pm
Hi Christy!
I found you via Sortacrunchy.
I am happily married, have 2 girls, and my indulgence would be shopping for makeup at Sephora.
BTW – we have a Macpro (desktop) and love it!
on February 6th, 2008 at 5:25 pm
Hi, I’m Mattie and a newbie to your blog. I have a step-daughter who is 6. I enjoy Lush bubble bars, Godiva dark chocolate truffles, skinny cinnamon dolce lattes and a good chic flick.
on February 6th, 2008 at 5:27 pm
Hi, I’m Melody. I live in Texas, and I have five children: 13, 12, 10, 6, 4.
My indulgence? I guess is would have to be books, and I can spend HOURS “window shopping” at Amazon, building my wish lists.
Nice to “meet” you!

I’m Natalie from Pennsylvania and I have three children: 8, 5, 2. I discovered your site during the grand Bloggy Giveaway week.
I LOVE anything DARK chocolate. And not that wimpy, dark choclate. I like it at 70%.
I look forward to The Big Bloggy Move next week. I have two blogs and just started a third about three weeks ago. I’m excited to introduce everyone to it!
on February 6th, 2008 at 6:08 pm
Hi, I have two girls..5 and 3 years old.
I love Starbuck’s coffee, CVS shopping, chocolate truffles and shopping at Old Navy, Ann Taylor Loft, Nine West and Target.
on February 6th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
Hi Christy,
I am a newbie in blogging and to your site. I have one son who is 8 and a Navy Intel Officer for a hubby. We are Reserves so we don’t move around. We live in Southeast Tx. Indulgences are getting quiet time to read and milk chocolate. I don’t drink coffe but have to have my Sonic Coke every morning. Thanks for the invite to visit.
on February 6th, 2008 at 7:27 pm
Hi there. I have 2 children and one one the way. A year old boy, and a little girl who will turn 2 the week this baby is due.
Believe it or not – I don’t drink coffee. In fact, I have never tasted it (gasp). Believe me, that does not mean anything about the status of my health other than I prefer a nice cold Coke. A book or bath stuff would be great.
I will also be participating in the move on Monday!

You can take it with you on the Big Bloggy Move! *wink*

I’m a mother of three, aged 5, 3 and 10 months.
My favourite indulgence would have to be a long quiet time alone reading a good book. The ever popular coffee chocolate are also lovely, but all three together are absolute bliss!
I’ve been reading your blog for just a week or two. I can’t remember where I found you.
Cheers,
Embejo

Do I need to tell you that Elijah is 3 and a half now?
Is it possible to get gift certs from Amazon? That would be a little luxury for me!
on February 6th, 2008 at 8:44 pm
Hi! I think I’ve been visiting you since sometime in December. I have 6 kids, ages 4, 5, ,8 10, 11, and 14. And my fave indulgences are Starbucks and Barnes and Noble…or both at the same time?!?
on February 6th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
Weeeeell, you already know me but I’m also starving for adult interaction so I’m loving reading this and I’ll throw mine in there.
I’m Heather and I have two kiddies, a girl who is four going on twenty and a boy who’s three but lies and says he’s four because holding up three fingers is just too much work.
I’m all about the indulgences. Dark chocolate, coffee, reading magazines and you just introduced me to LUSH and I can’t stop slobbering over their stuff.
on February 6th, 2008 at 9:57 pm
Hello! I’ll delurk =)
I’m Brandie = 3 kids girls aged 8 and 5 and one boy who is 2.
I found you during the ultimate blog party last year and love reading, but don’t comment enough at all!
My favorite indulgence is reading and knitting and shopping and coca-cola. Okay, so I have a lot of indulgences LOL! =)
on February 6th, 2008 at 11:02 pm
Hi–just now stumbled across your blog–it’s great!
I have a 15.5 year old son (with a driving permit!) and a 13.5 year old daughter.
My favorite indulgences: a massage, blockbuster online, and anything from Trader Joes and Whole Foods.
on February 7th, 2008 at 3:16 am
I have a 17 year old daughter and a 15 year old son. We are in our 13th year of homeschooling. I have been married for 21 years.
I enjoy lots of different things, but chocolate and starbucks are indeed special treats.
on February 7th, 2008 at 3:53 am
Hi! I visit your blog almost daily…have it listed on my blog! I have one son, (age 13) (a dog & a hamster) (& a super hubby). I loooove Starbucks!!! Take Care!
on February 7th, 2008 at 10:42 pm
Okay, you know all this. But I’m married, with three kiddos and three step-kiddos!
My favorite indulgence is…uh? That’s hard. I love pedicures. I love great shower supplies. I love chocolate. I love Barnes and Noble…I could go on! But I’ll stop.
on February 8th, 2008 at 6:24 pm
Hey Christy,
What a lovely gesture
.
I have a 15-year-old daughter and sons, ages 13 and 10.
My favorite guilty pleasure (and it’s full of both :/) is a caramel machiatto from Starbucks (made with half and half, hence the mega guilt).
ps on your post below…I have Mac dreams, too **s i g h**.

Hi there!
I have 4 kiddos – 6, 5, 3, and 1. And when I CAN get a moment to myself (between homeschooling, refereeing the masses, cleaning….blah, blah, blah…) I love to READ. or scrapbook. Ok – reading is a little more of an escape, but really anything that involves quiet is lovely!

Hi there! I have three girls (7/4/2). My favorite indulgence is fettuccine alfredo! Isn’t that odd? Anyway, I came across your blog through the Bloggy Move button, and I’m excited about participating! I redesigned my blog in January.
on February 11th, 2008 at 11:52 am
Hello!
Brand spanking new to blogging. One week and a day old…awwww. I have one hubby, one son, 2 male dogs and a house full of testosterone. So, my favorite indulgence would be anything pink, glittery and girly. I love pedicures and wish I could get to that more often.
Nice to meet you all!
on February 11th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
Thanks for the link! I’m an “empty-nester”…2 sons, ages 23 & 21. I homeschooled, and now work full-time in web communications. Everyday Inspiration is the evolution of my first site…then…blog: The Homeschool Encourager.

Hi Christy – I’m glad I found your blog and look forward to getting to know you.
I have 3 grown kids – 2 girls and a boy – and one sweetie of a granddaughter!
We are related via the military… I grew up in the Air Force, brother retired after 26 years in the Navy, neice married to a sailor, nephew is a sailor, and my son-in-law is a sailor who just found out he was picked up for OCS this spring. They are Happy Dancing in San Diego!
Indulgences… hhhmmm?? Well – besides fabric (I’m a quilter!) I’d have to say that it would be these stickie buns I recently found here in Pennsylvania… Mmmm, Mmmm Yummy!
http://howdyblogs.blogspot.com/2008/02/mmmm-mmmmmm-yummy.html But you can’t get that with a gift card… so then I’d say – maybe some Mayan Fire from redthreadconfections.com – a wonderful blend of cinnamon caramel and dark chocolate.

Hi! Realizing this is a late response, I JUST found your blog. I adore it! My name is Christy. I have two dogs and one 11 month old baby girl named, Beatrice. Hmm..my favorite indulgence? I have so many. Let me think. Let me think. My favorite indulgence is bubble bath, which I RARELY have the opportunity to use any more. I am lucky if I have the time for a bath (vs. a quick shower) much less the time or energy for bubbles. But, to answer your question — that is one of my favorite indulgences.

Hi, I actually just found your site after some major webby surfing yesterday. Hey – it’s winter, I have a sick baby and I am b-o-r-e-d! Great blog, and fabulous design. I’ll have to keep Swank in mind when I go for a re-model!
I have an 18 month old son who I would like to end up homeschooling (waiting on hubby approval!)
Okay – I sooo have to get off the internet! but I’ll be back to check out what you’ve got going on.

Ok, so this is kind of late, considering that we are now in April, but I am just catching up through the archives. Hello, my name is Alicia, and I am a coffee-holic. I love coffee!!!! I am married and I have 3 kids–two girls and a boy. So I know all about the insanity–I mean joy that comes with having 3 little kids running around like mad monkeys–I mean sitting quietly and well-behaved. Check out my blog. It’s http://www.mamaleechy.blogspot.com/
By the way, I am really loving your blog. I think I’m becoming addicted to that too. Maybe it’s because of the word coffee…..

Thanks a ton! That was really informative, I just saved your site.
